A Brush with Stardom: Kate Hudson Rocks 2Nostalgik Designs

Hey fashion enthusiasts and design aficionados! I've got some exciting news to share with you all. I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with the fantastic clothing company, 2Nostalgik. As a designer, working on unique creations is always a thrill, but this project took an unexpected turn that left me both honored and ecstatic.

Imagine my delight when I stumbled upon a clip in People featuring none other than the stunning Kate Hudson rocking a tee adorned with my design! It's an indescribable feeling to see your work embraced by someone as influential and stylish as Kate Hudson.

The design in question holds a special place in my heart, as it reflects the essence of 2Nostalgik's commitment to blending vintage vibes with contemporary style. The fusion of nostalgia and modernity is a testament to the brand's innovative approach, and seeing it on a fashion icon like Kate Hudson adds an extra layer of excitement.

Collaborating with 2Nostalgik was a journey of creativity and passion. Having Kate Hudson choose to wear my design is a personal triumph. It's incredibly rewarding to witness the convergence of art and fashion on such a grand scale.

As I reflect on this experience, I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to 2Nostalgik's vision and witness my designs come to life on a global stage. To all the aspiring designers out there, let this be a reminder that every project, big or small, holds the potential for unexpected and extraordinary moments. The intersection of art, fashion, and celebrity has certainly made for an unforgettable chapter in my creative endeavors.

Cheers to the power of design, the allure of nostalgia, and the magic that happens when the two collide in the world of fashion!

Heidi, A Heartfelt Commission

Thanks for joining me! I did this little piece of Heidi as a commission for a friend. A 6×6 Acrylic on board. A week after I delivered it to him, he went into the hospital with stomach issues. He has had a treacherous ride for the past 3 1/2 months. I wont go into everything here, but they  put a tube in to bypass his stomach. He was on a ventilator for a period of time. He’s gone through several surgeries to remove infection and build up in his intestines. He developed two staph infections while in the hospital, and the list goes on. He was finally able to go back home last week thankfully. I prayed hard that he would be able to make it through this horrid ordeal. He was scared as I am sure others were that he would lose his life. He has always been a strong individual however which I am sure helped to see him through these past months. His wife was fantastic through it all being at the hospital as much as possible and holding down her job and the home front. He missed his dogs including Heidi while away from home and is so blessed to be back with them laying at his side. He has lost a lot of weight and hasn’t been able to eat any solid food…nothing but ice for these past months. I can’t imagine. That would be the worst part and makes me think how fortunate we are for something as simple as sitting to eat a meal. This alone is enough to take a toll on the psyche, but he has withstood every obstacle in his way. Keep hanging in there and getting stronger every single day Willis. I’m so happy you have Heidi back at your side and this little painting of her always.

XO,

M. Marie~

UPDATE:  Willis passed after a long 5 year battle. He fought hard. He was as strong as he could be, but our Heavenly Father must have had greater plans for him. I am happy you are no longer suffering Willis, but you are missed very much here. Godspeed my sweet friend.
